 Photography, makeup, editing, and beauty all rolled in one.

I loved the outcome!

The Look: Gold and Berry.

Who knew this two colors compliment?

But actually, any color paired with Gold will compliment.

I smoked the berry up to the brow bone instead of the usual highlights.

To add panache hair was intentionally left undone.

Wearable for night time. Tone it down a bit for day time.

April 25,2011 Venus' Pre-Nup

I was working first thing in the morning on an Easter Sunday

to service beauty to Ms.Venus' pre-nup photo shoot (which was held at The Fort)

Call time was 6am but they arrived in my studio at 5:40. I was ready by then.

 She opted for a natural look which almost every bride does.

 

she was blessed with luxurious lashes..

 

                          That's it. Since I don't have my photographer again, that's all I could show.
                           I might have taken other shots but it's either the lighting's bad or the flash
                              was not doing any good.  Better pictures next time,i hope.

April 20, 2011 On-Site Makeup for Gradutation

                Notice the skin tone of her face; she has darker tone on her forehead (as seen on before shot).
                If you have same condition as hers, you can use two shades of foundation, one for the forehead
                         and one for the rest of the face. The other trick and easier route is to use a shade
                            on the same tone of the forehead for the whole face as what I did on this one.
                      Usually the shade you'll choose for forehead will compliment  on the rest of your face.

There are various takes on this particular look. It can be done 

simply pleasant, excessively glamorous, or anything in between.

I, made it extremely fierce.

April 4, 2011 Debutante Ceejae for Photo Shoot

I had no photographer that day ('twas her birthday!!) so I took

these pictures which means no before and during, just the after shots.

Ceejae here is suuuuch a pretty girl. She has clear skin and almost 

perfect features (since nobody's perfect) with very minimum concealing required. 

Anyway, she was off to her photo shoot and she only wanted

light- not anything dark, and sophisticated makeup look.

I loved the outcome of the look. She was perfect in pink!

                             I made this look with contrasting colors. Green on the upper lid faded to light green,
                               light violet on the lower lash line, rich violet for eye definition, and white mascara
                          for added contrast and drama. Then two shades for the lips, a little pinch on the cheeks,
                                                                     and it's picture perfect.

 

    

 

Makeup Artistry

 My younger sisters are my biggest critics. I asks for their opinions and

of what they think of my specific work. They tell me the truth and really voice out their minds.

But they, are too, my worst critics  for they are straight and brutal. So the scenario always ends up 

with arguments of what looks best or what should have done on a specific look.

So how would one define a good makeup? It's clear that me and my sisters have different perceptions

that even when it comes to logic and reasoning, my mind still work artistically (poor excuse.hehe)

I love art,..and art for me, does not need reasons all the time.  

March 30,2011 Wedding (Pearl Manila Hotel/Paco Park Church)

Carla's wedding was so modern and quirky.

Their color motif was black and deep violet. She and her groom wore

matching violet chucks amidst the elegance of the gown and suit.

Her gown had little black accents which is unusual (here in our country).
I think it reflected the character of the couple.And that is what's important-owning
your wedding day by conveying your  personalities through these details
to make it more personal and fun.

Carla and I agreed to create a modern look

on her without being overrated. I used shades of violet (pale and medium) on her eyes

very lightly instead of the usual browns. I'm stressed because we weren't able to take a really 

good shot of her makeup (photos gave no justice!). Anyway so here are the pictures:
